Parking
Parking is free and unassigned for both Research 1 and Building 2. For Research
1 please park in the lot next to the building or parallel on George Washington
Boulevard. For Building 2 please park in the large rear lot.
Weather Closings
Call (703) 726-8333 to get information on the status
of the Campus due to extreme weather conditions. For the status of classes,
please call the individual program offices. Note: The Virginia Campus does
not necessarily close when the Foggy Bottom Campus (main campus) in Washington
DC does.
Access to
Research 1 (RESRC1--20101 Academic Way)
The main doors to the building are unlocked between 7 a.m. and
7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Access to
Research 1 during other hours requires a GWorld
card. Students, faculty, and staff are
issued GWorld
Cards and visitors can sign-in with identification. The guard
posted in the building can be contacted at (703) 726-8368.
Access to Academic Building 2 (44983 Knoll Square)
Building 2 is a secure building accessible using a GWorld
Card. Students, faculty, and staff are
issued GWorld Cards and visitors can sign-in with identification. The 24-hour
guard posted in the building can be contacted at (703) 726-3511.
Virginia
Campus Library
Full library resources are available to students and faculty. The library
is electronically linked to the Gelman Library on the main campus and to
The Washington Research Library Consortium. Virginia Campus students have
full use of all Gelman Library services at both campuses. Call (703) 726-8230

International Services Office (ISO)
The International Services Office (ISO) provides assistance and information
to international students, scholars, and faculty at The George Washington University,
including:
- Immigration advising and information on immigration regulations
- Social and
recreational activities and programs to foster intercultural relationships
and learning
- Cultural adjustment workshops and support groups
- Orientation programs for
international students new to GW
