Articles can be: (1) picked up at the Virginia Campus Library, (2) mailed to your home or office (please include mailing address, takes at least 2 working days) or (3) scanned and sent as an attachment to an e-mail message** (please include your e-mail address). Dissertations: (1) Most dissertations written since 1997 are available at no cost online via Dissertation Abstracts International. We typically do not order items that are available in full-text, however we can provide a print version for $15. (2) If the dissertation is unavailable online we will attempt to borrow it from a lending library. Request it as you would order any other book. This method is free for you. (3) If the dissertation still cannot be obtained then after confirmation from the patron we will attempt to purchase the item from a commercial service. The cost for this is $15 for students. Faculty who wish to keep dissertations for personal or departmental use are charged $28.

We accept cash or personal check only and cannot bill departmental accounts. Payment in advance is encouraged.

Please understand that it is very difficult to obtain dissertations from certain US/Canadian schools, and nearly impossible from Europe/Asia.

**Note: You must have Adobe® Acrobat® Reader running on your computer to receive scanned articles.
