ASHBURN, VA—The George Washington University (GW) showcases its
graduate programs on Wednesday, September 27, 2006, from 4
p.m. to 8 p.m. at the GW Virginia
Campus in Ashburn.
Visitors can review approximately 20 graduate degree and certificate
programs in business, education, and engineering, and an undergraduate
program in the health sciences—offered in executive, accelerated,
and traditional formats.
A new Landscape Design graduate certificate is offered this fall. Through
an agreement with Virginia Tech, GW’s landscape design program
may be applied to a master of landscape architecture at Virginia Tech's
Alexandria campus.
A new graduate certificate in IT for justice and
public safety begins in January 2007, combining computer science and
justice information technology systems including XML, GJXDM, and NIEM.
This certificate may also be applied to several other engineering degree
programs.
The George Washington University Virginia Campus in Loudoun County is
the region’s fastest-growing research and technology campus with
academic and research initiatives in transportation safety and security,
public health and homeland security, professional and executive education,
and information technology and telecommunications. The 15-year old, 95-acre
campus is located in Ashburn in the technology and business corridor
near Dulles International Airport.
The Graduate Program Spring Open House is scheduled at 20101 Academic
Way, Ashburn, VA. The GW Virginia Campus is located in the University
Center off Route 7, one mile west of the intersection of Routes 7 and
