Faculty and staff generously donated boxes of nonperishable food and numerous bags of new or gently used clothing. Leftover prepared food from the December 13 Campus Holiday Party was also donated.

The donations were delivered to The Good Shepherd Alliance in Leesburg, which is a 501(c) 3 non-profit orgnanization. It was established for the purpose of providing housing and food on a temporary basis for people in crisis. The Alliance has been serving the homeless of Loudoun County, Virginia since 1983.

In addition to providing emergency short-term support for food, clothing and shelter, they also assist individuals and families resolve their homeless situation through job search assistance and other means of empowering them to become self-sufficient.
